TYPHOON high speed floating aerators.

TYPHOON high speed floating aerators provide high oxygen transfer and effective mixing for wastewater treatment lagoons and tanks.

The TYPHOON aerator produces high pumping rates with a low trajectory for intense air-to-water mixing, resulting in excellent oxygen transfer rates.

The TYPHOON Aerator is used for wastewater treatment, leachate treatment, supplemental aeration, and sequencing batch reactors (SBRs).

The motors from 2 to 100 horsepower (1.5 to 75 kW), are available in 50 hz at 1000 or 1400 rpm versions.

Main Features

typhoon diagramThe TYPHOON Aerator produces high pumping rates with a low water spray trajectory for intense air-to-water mixing, resulting in excellent oxygen transfer. It features a stainless steel or fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) foam-filled float with intake cone. A stainless steel nonclogging impeller sheds debris while pumping huge volumes of wastewater up and out. All motors are specifically designed for continuous use in wet applications.

Motors feature extended shafts eliminating the need for special aerator shaft bearings in the wastewater. This simple design virtually eliminates maintenance. Both the motor supports and fasteners are stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance. The motors from 2 to 100 horsepower (1.5 to 75 kW), are available in 60 hz at 1200 or 1800 rpm or 50 hz at 1000 or 1400 rpm versions.

How it works

typhoon2The TYPHOON High Speed Floating Surface Aerator float supports a motor vertically and above the water surface. The motor features an extended shaft with a submerged propeller affixed to the end. The rotating propeller draws water up through the aerator intake cone and projects it outward, above the water line. The fine droplet spray produces low trajectory intense air-to-water mixing, resulting in excellent oxygen transfer.

Proprietary engineering and simple design ensure the TYPHOON Aerator runs right from the beginning and keeps running without time-consuming maintenance.

In addition, factory testing for each TYPHOON High Speed Surface Aerator checks and rechecks that the equipment meets the AEROMIX stringent standards for quality. Each aerator is factory tested for correct operation, lubrication, operating temperature, lack of vibration and dry amp draw.
